Emilie is an award-winning, globally accoladed shorts writer/director. She made her directorial debut at 17, with a commission from Channel 4’s ‘Random Acts’, for her short film ‘Pas De Deux’. Since then, she has gone on to direct a variety of projects - from narrative shorts, to social media commercial work. Her films have gone on to receive awards and nominations at festivals, including two ‘Best U25 Director’ nominations at BAFTA recognised ‘Underwire Festival’, ‘Best Short Film’, at BAFTA Cymru qualifying ‘Carmarthen Bay Film Festival’ and more.

She was drawn towards the creative arts from adolescence, first as a fledgling artist, then as a musician and avid film viewer. These interests eventually evolved into a burning desire to manifest stories and a vision through directing. Emilie’s work takes inspiration from the intimacies of everyday life, and the equally, heartwarming and heartbreaking narratives that manifest from society.

Emilie has also worked as a ‘Young Reporter’ for Into Film, giving her the opportunity to interview some of the most influential names in film, including Damien Chazelle, Richard Curtis and Millie Bobby Brown. She has previously worked as a Team Assistant at SISTER, and is currently working as a freelance Base AD for film and HETV.
